Simple Pleasures has formed a team for the Susan G. Komen Northern Nevada Race for the Cure. Please join our Elko team and accept the challenge to support the Komen vision of a world without breast cancer. It may be your donation that pushes past a major turning point in discovering the cure. On behalf of women who will be diagnosed this year, we urge you to do as much as you can. Rest assured, your contribution will be put to good use.
Your support matters! This is such a small request when compared to what it can provide for northern Nevada residents. Of the net proceeds raised by the Komen Northern Nevada Race for the Cure, up to 75% will remain in northern Nevada to fund non-duplicative education, screening and treatment programs for the medically underserved. At least 25% will fund national research to find a cure for breast cancer, which is the ultimate goal.

On October 17th, join Simple Pleasures as we embark on our separate local event, Elko Walk for a Cause. Our 5K walk/ run and 1 mile or 5K walk will benefit breast cancer education, screening, treatment and research. For additional details or to volunteer, please contact us at

It is also with great pride that I can inform you that Simple Pleasures will be holding their 4th Annual "Girls Night Out for A Cause" right here at the store on Friday October 16, 2009. This event will include a silent auction with 100% of the proceeds going to benefit a cancer program or function that benefits cancer. While all you women are being wined, dined and pampered, you will have the option to donate up to 20% of their purchases to the designated cause!
The evening will be filled with entertainment, beverages and loads of fantastic gifts to choose from! Gather all of your girlfriends and family members for an evening not to be forgotten!
